Unfortunately, we cannot just build the plugin for the stock version of MySQL as the compiler settings for plugins are too tightly linked to those of the main server. Essentially the only way to do it reliably is build them on the same system, and Oracle has not been adopting community developed engines...
However, MariaDB is a drop-in replacement and superset of stock MySQL, so I&#039;d suggest that&#039;s the way to go forward.</description>

		<description>Never mind. I resolved it. I was using lucid package. I changed to sudo wget http://ourdelta.org/deb/sources/karmic-mariadb-ourdelta.list instead. and I&#039;m using MariaDB instead of Mysql now :)</description>
